Lambing 2007

We have been blessed with good weather this year and are now well on with the lambing, lambs have be strong and healthy with the Lleyn ewes having pleanty of milk and have been great mothers. Ewes arent scanned but we have had a very good lamb crop in the reagion of 190% living lambs. The hoggs have lambed in with the ewes and have done their best most of the time!! We have only let the hoggs rear 1 lamb this year and have taken the other lamb off the twins. This has given us a few pets to rear on the shepherdess lamb feeder. Other years we have left hoggs to milk 2 lambs some times works sometimes you end up with a poor shearling ewe that get mastitis.
